The Either/Orchestra is Massachusetts' most well-known, well-travelled and wide-ranging large jazz ensemble. Founded by saxophonist/composer Russ Gershon in 1985, the E/O features members from all over the US, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, ranging in age from 20 to 56. The group brings together the rhythms of jazz, Latin and Ethiopian music into an exciting presentation that balances world-class writing with explosive improvisations.
This appearance at the R-bar will feature new compositions along with a selection of music from the E/O's upcoming, 11th album, due out in August. Their last three R-bar shows were sold out, so be sure to buy your tickets early.
