Terry Bozzio’s Out Trio

Featuring: Terry Bozzio, drums
Alex Machacek, guitar
Doug Lunn, bass

The collaboration of Terry Bozzio and Alex Machacek began in 1999, when Alex Machacek and Gerald Preinfalk helped to mount Terry Bozzio’s premier of his “Chamberworks” at the Vienna Jazz Festival. Besides orchestrating the string section Alex also wrote a couple of trio tunes for Terry, Gerald and himself.

The chemistry of this trio was exceptional from the first note on and resulted in the production of BPM’s (Bozzio/Preinfalk/Machacek) first CD, entitled

“Delete and Roll”.
In 2003 Terry and Alex played a concert in Austin, Texas with Patrick O’Hearn on bass, which was filmed and released as a DVD:

“The Out Trio Live in Austin”
When Alex moved to Los Angeles in 2004, Terry and Alex decided to ask bassist Doug Lunn to join the band.

Since then, Terry has been involved in numerous projects around the world, working with The Brecker Brothers, U.K., Mark Isham, Missing Persons, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Lonely Bears, Mick Jagger, Polytown, BLS, Billy Sheehan, Fantomas...to name a few.
