Courtyard Series: Berklee at the Regattabar -Song Yi Jeon Quintet
Hailing from South Korea, composer and singer Song Yi Jeon combines modern jazz harmony and odd time signatures with singable melodies that catch the ear of the listener. Heavily influenced by Korean folklore, the refined compositions of Song Yi Jeon have clear musical direction yet still allow band members to show their virtuosity. The members of her quintet come from all over the world and play together on a regular basis.
