Laurent Coq BIO

Laurent Coq is a 44 years old piano player, composer and arranger who shares his activities between Paris and New York (Laurent was a New York resident from 2000 to 2005).

Since 1997, he has published ten albums under his name (Grand Prix Disque Charles Cros 2002 for Blowing Trio – Live@the Duc des Lombards, Prix Disque Français from Jazz Academy in 2005 for Spinnin’), while developing numerous collaborations on both sides of the Atlantic (Julien Lourau, Miguel Zenon, Pierrick Pedron, Sam Sadigursky, Sandro Zerafa, Walter Smith III, etc.).

He writes movies scores for cinema, television and theater, and keeps a steady duo with Japanese dancer Toshiko Oiwa (Bird’s Improvisations) among other things.

Ralph Lavital BIO

Raised within a musical environment, Ralph Lavital has started playing music with his siblings at the age of three. He studied musical theory and piano before switching to guitar at age 7. After several years at the Conservatory in Paris, he went to Paris University where obtained a degree in Musicology. He met Laurent Coq at EDIM where he studied composition during a three years program. Despite his young age, Ralph Lavital has already gathered a solid experience both in studio and on stage and has become a much-in-demand guitar player in Paris, either in the jazz or Caribbean scene. He is an active composer as well and, in 2013, has just recorded his first EP has a leader (Ralph Lavital Confusion, 88TREES).

Nicolas Pelage BIO

Nicolas Pelage was raised in Martinique (French Caribbean) before moving to Metropolitan France ; Lille in 2002 where he studied at EF2M, then Nancy in 2004 at International Music Academy, and finally Paris in 2005 where he quickly became an active singer in various genres (Zouk, Compas, Salsa, Mazurka, Biguine, Reggae, and Jazz).
