Jason Anick & Jason Yeager United Album Release

Featuring: Jason Anick - Violin, mandolin
Jason Yeager - Piano
Greg Loughman - Bass
Mike Connors - Drums

w/ special guest Clay Lyons - Alto sax

Longtime collaborators Jason Anick (violin/mandolin) and Jason Yeager (piano) celebrate "United," their new release on Greg Osby's Inner Circle Label, featuring original compositions that defy genre and stunning covers of the Beatles, Miles Davis, and Zbigniew Seifert. Anick and Yeager's project is the culmination of a musical partnership that stretches back to their teenage years in the western suburbs of Boston, and reflects their myriad musical interests, from straight ahead and gypsy jazz to Argentine folk rhythms, bluegrass, and 20th century classical music.

Both artists are on faculty at Berklee College of Music, from whose faculty and alumni they drew several special guests on the recording: saxophonists George Garzone and Clay Lyons, trumpeter Jason Palmer, bassist John Lockwood, and percussionist Jerry Leake. Joined tonight by longtime bandmates Greg Loughman on bass and Mike Connors on drums, with Lyons and other special guests to be announced, Anick and Yeager will present their unique compositions and improvisations in an exciting presentation of memorable melodies, infectious grooves, and spontaneous musical conversation.
