Music Aid 4 Venezuela: Fighting Childhood Hunger
Renowned, Boston-based Venezuelan pianist & composer Leo Blanco, has founded, organized and will host the second concert in his music series, Music Aid 4 Venezuela, this time raising funds and awareness around the childhood hunger crisis in Venezuela. This music performance event will unite local and international talent to show their most heartfelt concern for the grave humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is currently facing.
Arguably, once one of the richest countries on the continent, Venezuela is now enduring one of the darkest and most desperate moments in its history. Blanco, along with a diverse group of artists, is presenting Music Aid 4 Venezuela through a series of concert performances throughout the U.S, wishing to show solidarity with those who are in the most dire medical need, while raising international awareness of the progressively deteriorating situation in Venezuela.
The Leo Blanco Global Chamber Ensemble, with guest Master musicians, will unite at Regattabar on Thursday, April 5th at 7:30 pm to perform original compositions by Leo Blanco and Blanco's own arrangements of Venezuelan traditional music.
Proceeds from this concert series will go directly to critically-needed food and other nutritional supplies to be sent to Venezuela through the NGO "Ayuda Humanitaria para Venezuela".
